It is good to see you again, it has been a while.
I have been locked inside my apartment for a year. What a wild thing to say. Right before this happened I was on a solid path to improve a lot about myself, my fitness being at the top of that list. However, when we locked down I basically made the decision to put everything on pause.
My gym was closed, weights were a million dollars and required you to have them smuggled in from Cuba, I can't really just run on the streets where I live during a pandemic for a whole host of reasons.
I know some people where in the hustle mindset, and built entire companies during the pandemic. I drank far too much alcohol, streamed much of that on twitch and modded games... To each their own I suppose. If you where one of those elite super stars that got a lot done during this, good for you. If you were not, that is ok too. A lot of people didn't make it out of this at all, and a lot of families lost people they love. It was ok to retreat, and simply hold down the fort.
Either way, I am not really trying to even write about that. What I would like to talk about is how good it feels to be outside again. I find the outside world so beautiful, I was standing in my CVS and I could see a mountain out of their weirdly tall windows in the top and it was as if I had never seen that mountain before (I was jogging to, and on it pre pandemic pretty normally). It also feels like a time to re-invent oneself, something I have done so many times I can hardly count anymore.
I like the things I was working on pre-pandemic, but I am not eager to just jump straight back into that stuff. Instead I think I want to explore some new ideas, ideas I don't really even have formed enough to write about coherently at this time, but it should be cool. If you are interested you can follow along in the technonomicon for now.
More announcements to come.
